Scan of 306

It's nice to have a change every now and again, so I decided to change my alloys for some standard 15" Peugeot 5 spokes. I know it seems a bit weird going back to stock items after having spent 3 years on TSW blades, but I've always liked these wheels, and I think they suit the car. I've also changed to Pirelli P6000 (195/55) from the Yokohama A510s (195/50). There's not much in it as far as grip is concerned, but asked to make a judgement I'd say the Yokos were best in the dry, the Pirellis best in the wet....then again, the Pirellis currently have full tread depth, so this verdict may change.

Latest update is that all is OK with the car. New front disks/pads working well and just (end April 99) had a new exhaust. I went for a standard Peugeot system after checking out the usual aftersales versions (Scorpion, Jetex etc) and was amazed to find that the Peugeot back box is a 'free flow' item. Quite cool since these are normally only bought as 'performance' exhausts. It's made no difference to the power, but it's good to know.

Sadly the 306 has now left me so these are the last pics to appear on this site. I decided it was time to move on after over 3 years. You may be interested to hear that the total depreciation was £3150, or less than £1000 per year. Not bad at all for a car bought at 8 months old. (I sold it via Autotrader).
